James 1:5 (ESV)
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
Wisdom only comes from God, and the only way we can receive it is to ask Him for it. I believe that wisdom is a part of who God is, and when we ask for it, we are desiring to be more like Him in the decisions we make in our lives. It will not only affect our personal decisions but will allow us to speak into other people’s lives and help them.
There are several more examples of what wisdom is, but I think the lesson in it for me today, and maybe for you is that it only comes from God because it’s a part of who He is. I want to be more like Him in how I act and what I say, and to achieve that; I need wisdom. We have an incredible increase in knowledge in our world, but imagine what would happen if we had an increase in wisdom.
