Yes, we’re busy…yes, our schedules are crazy and yes, at the end of the day we wish we had just a few more hours to get everything done. We all are doing different things, but the truth is, we all have a lot to do. As I’m typing, I’m already thinking of what my calendar looks like for today. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, because we can all be thankful for our families, our jobs and many other blessings that keep us occupied.
However, sometimes even in a blessed life we can be so busy with our blessings we fail to be a blessing to anyone else. I’m not suggesting we’re doing this on purpose, I’m just afraid it’s happening without us realizing it. We’re hearing ok, we’re just not listening to good. We see alright, we’re just not paying real good attention. How many hurting people have we passed up because we didn’t know they were near us? Too Blessed to Bless.
Here’s my challenge. Schedule some time to be more aware of what is going on around you. Make blessing someone a part of your daily things-to-do list. Take the time to be an encouragement to somebody. Buy someone’s lunch or a cup of coffee. It really doesn’t take much to make a big difference. You are probably thinking of someone right now that is going through a very difficult time in their life. Why not carve out a little time in your schedule and send that person a text or email today? Imagine what would happen if everyone took the time to encourage someone.
Don’t be too Blessed, to Bless.
So true!
