“REBATES AND PROMISES”

Have you ever purchased something that came with a mail-in-rebate? My next question is; did you mail it in? Chances are, you didn’t, in fact, a large percentage of people never do. I read that over $500 million goes unclaimed every year in rebates. After interviewing several people, they discover that over 60% said procrastination and forgetting were the reason they never mailed in their rebate. 20% said the redemption process was too much effort, and 20% who lost their receipts, mistakenly threw out the required packaging or faced some other constraint. Wow, that means, what was promised to them, was never claimed. It belonged to them, but they never acted on that promise.

Sometimes, that is precisely how people are when it comes to the promises of God. It belongs to them, but they never act on it or take the necessary steps to receive what is already theirs. You don’t have to ask for something He has already promised; you just have to claim it. If He says it’s yours, then it’s all up to you. Also, if it’s written in His word, you just have to declare it.

So what is it today that you haven’t claimed?

2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
