I’m sure like me; you have been watching the weather reports and predictions of hurricane Irma, currently hitting Southern Florida. Let’s join together today and pray for the people of this State. Some have evacuated, while others have chosen to stay and ride out the storm. Let’s pray for their safety if they’re still there, and for those that have left, let’s pray for a safe return. No one knows what is going to happen or all the damage and devastation this storm is going to bring, so I’m already praying for those cities, homes, churches, and businesses that will need to rebuild. My heart is breaking for them as I watch this storm increase in power.
I know we are still praying for Texas and parts of Louisiana as they are beginning the rebuilding process, but I think we should pray for our Nation and leaders as well. The relief effort and restoration are going to cost billions of dollars. Our Nation needs revival, and the church is the only thing that can cause that to happen. Let’s be the church and do what we know works.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (ESV)
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
