3 THINGS TO START YOUR WEEK

Philippians 3:12 (NKJV)
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

In the words of this verse I find three things that we can use to start this week off with.

1. Not that I have already attained.

There are some goals and maybe even some dreams that we have yet to see come to pass. Many of us are still working hard on the things that we believe have been promised to us. Whatever that is for you, make sure and remind yourself of it as a new week begins.

2. Or am already perfected.

You may be beating yourself up over a recent mistake that you made. The truth is, none of us have been made perfect. There is a day coming when we will be like Jesus, but for now, from time to time, we will certainly be reminded that it hasn’t happened yet.

3. But I Press On.

Here is the last and most important thing that we have to know to start this new week. We have not reached all of our goals…we are not perfect…however, we must press on. 1 and 2 should not keep me from pressing on. Let’s not allow the incomplete tasks or the mistakes we make hinder us from pressing on.

I would encourage you to write these three things down and look at them everyday this week. Remember this, at the end of the week, you may not have reached all of your goals and will have most likely made some errors, however, make sure you can say, in spite of it, “I STILL PRESSED ON”!!!
